This one hits in the quiet ways. I really love your use of metaphor here—I find the same trends in my life. You often have a way of meeting me right where I’m at and that’s an undeniable skill. Be well, my friend💜
🥹 thank you my friend. Didn’t realize the thing I’ve done my whole life was a skill until I started writing here now I’m grateful to be able to put words to feelings others carry 🫶🏼✨
I'm going to do a daily read of your posts as they are just so thought-provoking! I like how the car was used metaphorically and it is such a great comparison as our bodies are our vehicles and we do get to the point of feeling drained, always on the go, different or repeated destinations and sometimes it just screams at our soul "no!" Or perhaps it's been ignoring our soul telling it to rest...
The fact that you feel I’m thought-provoking is truly such a compliment for me. I’m honored that my metaphor landed in such a real way for you and honestly super thankful you have enjoyed these as much as I have enjoyed writing them 🫶🏼✨
You’ve hit the nail on the head for me. Mindfulness is all and you made me think about my piano and that I noticed it needs to be tuned and I’ll call the Oisin tuner today. We deserve to be taken care of! 🙏🏽 thank you for this reminder.
🫢 thank you for your continued support my friend and yes the way we care for the things we enjoy or need in this life is a reflection of how we care for ourselves in my opinion I’m glad your taking care of your piano ✨
Subie…. I turn off the auto pause and turn on the auto vehicle hold for the stoplights and drive thrus. Does chipotle have drive thru for digital pickups up there? It’s so amazing.
Take care of that mind there! ✨ Thanks for the glimmer!
I have learned to keep it off every time I turn on my car and chipotle does not have a drive thru up here! One exists that’s wild to be fair the ones here are always slammed n looked understaffed 😂
I totally get what you mean. In some ways I'm grateful that we live in this time that we can do literally anything for work and that my "work" doesn't really feel like work. Like, I don't have to show up at some building at the same time every day and punch in my time card or whatever. But then in other ways almost because I've been granted this privilege of sorts I feel like I have to be always "on." And I'm starting to realize just because we CAN work 24/7 doesn't necessarily mean that we have to.
Yea what you said at the end that the thing right? Living in New York it never feel appropriate to be off we hustle literally 24/7 365 so to stop breathe and listen to the birds feels like a form of rebellion
I think this might be the best compliment I have ever gotten 🤯 I think I’m going to have to print it and put it on my fridge and my bathroom mirror so every time my brain pisses me of I’m reminded someone actually appreciates it 😉
Yea I have hated it since I got it but I think it’s affecting my battery or starter so it’s off I’ll get my battery checked tomorrow. I think the feature is fine for someone who barely drives their car. I think it’s causing more damage than any good lol I’m excited Friday I’m going to finally learn how to do my own oil change
Yes literally learned how to today but unfortunately you have to shut it off every time you turn in the car so hopefully I remember bc I be in and out n on and off a lot lol
Lmfao I figured you might’ve not been talking about a car. I think I’m slowly learning how to and how important it really is for my long term health and every future version of me

This was a good one. I really liked how you used the car restart and wove it into human experience. Clever and accurate. Well done 🧡
It’s like my favorite thing to do find the parallels in life I’m glad you enjoyed it 🫶🏼✨

I really love the metaphors here. This line-
"There’s something strange about realizing that the thing carrying you through life is starting to mirror how you actually feel inside it."
It couldn't be more true.
Yes that day my car spoke to me loud I’m grateful that line carried the weight I was hoping for thanks for reading!!!! 🫶🏼✨
I loved the way you write
Thank you 😊 I write like I talk/ think so that’s a huge compliment since my English teachers always told me I was wrong for doing it that way 😂

Wonderful insights, Marlana.
Thank you my friend 🫶🏼✨

What a GREAT post. I love your brain.
I think this might be the best compliment I have ever gotten 🤯 I think I’m going to have to print it and put it on my fridge and my bathroom mirror so every time my brain pisses me of I’m reminded someone actually appreciates it 😉
You should absolutely do that.
I think I just might my friend
Yay. Your brain deserves love and appreciation.
🤭you may be right
I HATE auto start stop even if it saves fuel. Sorry not sorry 🤣🤦♂️
I get ya. Life has ups and downs. Best you can do is the best you can do and rebuild when it breaks down

You can shut it off on most cars. Its that A with a circle around it
Its hard on the starters but allegedly they build the starters better to make up for it.. but.. I don't really believe it..
Yes literally learned how to today but unfortunately you have to shut it off every time you turn in the car so hopefully I remember bc I be in and out n on and off a lot lol
Yeahhh I know they all do that. Maybe put a sticky note?
I've never had a car that new but when I get rentals it's the first thing to turn off. Then I put on sport mode.
Remember kids, fastest car in the world is a rental car 🤣🤦♂️
Lmfao I adore you
A great story of your life and how you get around the ups and downs of it! ✨
Thank you my friend you know me always finding the parallels in life 🫶🏼✨
Well cars have an A button with like a circle around it humans on the other hand def much harder to find the switch 🫶🏼✨
Lmfao I figured you might’ve not been talking about a car. I think I’m slowly learning how to and how important it really is for my long term health and every future version of me
I thought Marlana meant she turned her personal autopilot off as well, until I read this comment thread.
lol 😂 it is a much harder button to find on us said humans but I’m def working on it bc I can’t keep doing life this way
